ADVANCED TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE

The Polysomnography Technology Advanced Technical Certificate is new program developed to meet the growing needs of the healthcare community.  The two-semester program is designed for individuals who previously have received a degree in the field of Respiratory Care or who are currently enrolled in the final term of an accredited Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences Program. Program courses are designed to prepare graduates to take the Registered Polysomnography Technologist Exam administered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) and enter the workplace in various types of sleep disorder centers as a Polysomnographic Technologist.  All theory components of the program are offered only in the online format.  Laboratory courses are held only on the West campus, while clinical experiences are completed in Central Florida sleep disorder centers.
