Student Services
Student Services Home
The Student Services Offices are where students receive specialized
assistance with
issues that are more involved or complex than those handled in the Answer
Center.
A student visiting Student Services may meet with a Student Services
Manager,
Student Services Specialist for Financial Aid, Educational Advisor,
and/or a
Counselor. These professionals provide financial aid assistance,
developmental
advising which includes life, career, and educational planning,
interpretation of
assessments, student success skills, understanding of academic policies,
and
preparation for university transfer.

Advising
and Counseling
Meet with an Education Advisor, Counselor or Student Services Specialist
for Financial Aid.
Assessment
This is where students take computerized placement test (CPT), LOEP,
CLEP, CLAST and CAT-CLAST.
Atlas
Access Labs
This is the area in which student success is supported with the
use of computers for career and educational planning through Atlas.
Students will learn how certain online tools can be used to plan
for the future.
Business
Office
All student account inquiries and payments are handled in this area.
Career
Development Services
A resource area of career and education information where Career
Advisors and Counselors assist students in making appropriate career
decisions, setting effective career goals, and preparing for a successful
job search.
International
Student Services
The International Student Services (I.S.S.) Office assists international students from around the world! Staff in this office will help you with the admission process, documentation, academic advising, and other individual needs. I.S.S. also offers an array of workshops to better acquaint you with visa requirements and options available for international students.
Internship
& Placement Office
A center that provides opportunities for all students to connect
with employers for internships and employment opportunities for
Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science and certificate
students.
Office for Students with Disabilities
This area provides services to qualified students with documented
disabilities to ensure access to programs and activities at Valencia
Community College. Staff area available to assist with registration,
counseling, academic advisement and arrangements for reasonable
accommodations.
Student Development
This location is where a variety of programs and services are offered
related to student government, campus activities, clubs and organizations,
co-curricular programs, student leadership programs, intramural
sports, community service programs, campus publicity and newsletters,
student identification cards, and college and community information.
Tutoring Services
Tutoring services are available at no charge to students for academic
courses in which they are currently enrolled. Tutoring services
matches students having difficulty in course work with tutors who
demonstrate competence in the course curriculum.
