The Testing Center should be used for make-up tests only. Entire classes may not take tests in the Testing Center.
All tests submitted to the Testing Center must be accompanied by a test referral form. To submit exams online, log into your Atlas account. Choose the College Services tab. Select the Testing Center Referral link located in the left column at the bottom of the page. Complete the referral form, attach your exams, and submit. You may also hand deliver or inter-campus mail (mail code 6-3) tests to the Testing Center. It is very important that you provide the requested information such as your name, mail code, contact information, the course number and title, and test completion date on the test referral form. Most importantly, please have your name printed on your tests to ensure proper return of completed tests. If students will be allowed to have open book, notes, calculator, dictionary, thesaurus or any other aids, it must be noted on the form or we will not allow the student to use them.

| New Procedure |
Effective Fall semester 09-10, the Testing Center will not be returning completed tests on a daily basis. Each faculty member will have a HOLD file in the Testing Center. Completed tests can be picked up at any time by the faculty member or they will be placed in your mailbox after closing on the test deadline date. Accommodations will be made to this procedure upon request.
Please make test instructions clear to students before sending them to the Testing Center. Students must be able to complete the test(s) within posted hours. Unless you contact the Testing Center to extend a deadline, the tests will be returned to you at the close of business on that date – we will not accept the word of a student that the deadline has been extended |
| Academic Dishonesty |
Students suspected of cheating will be allowed to complete their work without interruption, in order to avoid disruption to other students testing in the center. The professor will be notified, in writing, of any student suspected or observed cheating by the staff on duty. This written detailed statement will be attached to the test materials turned in by the student. It will then be the faculty member’s decision on how to handle the situation.

| Please Share the Following Information With Your Students |
Students must have their Valencia ID card in order to test. We will not accept any other form of identification for testing purposes. Tests are filed by the instructors’ last name, so be sure they know the instructor name and which test they need to take. Once a student is in receipt of their test, they will not be allowed to leave the Testing Center. All electronic devices (cell phone, beeper, MP3, PDA) will need to be turned off during the test session. On tests which allow notes, the notes must be hard copies – they may not use notes stored on an electronic device. Students completing online tests need to use the Testing Center computers and will not be allowed to use their own laptop computer. Once a test is handed in, it cannot be returned to the student for any reason. All scrap paper used for testing purposes must be handed in with the test. |
