Meet The Staff:

The learning center staff is comprised of our tutoring department and computer lab operators for the osceola campus. The following is a list of the many friendly faces you might encounter when you visit the Osceola Campus Learning Center.

Caleb

About Me:

I am, first off, nothing more than a little lump of clay that my Savior Jesus Christ has managed to use to his own glory.  My passions are languages and computers.  I speak Spanish and French, in addition to English (on good days) and I've taken two semesters of Arabic. I have also spent this year learning enough HTML and PHP to create my own website www.tellmemygrade.com , a free online grade calculator for university students.  I'm majoring in languages and hope to work for the FBI someday as a Special Agent, and specialize in Counterterrorism.

Shelleza

About Me:

My name is Shelleza.  History and education are two things that I am very passionate about.  In my sophomore year of high school I decided to become a history teacher.  I fulfilled my dreams of becoming a history teacher when I received my Social Science Education B.S from UCF in May 2007.  After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I felt that I wanted to pursue a higher degree in order to become a more effective teacher. I also made the decision to teach at higher levels of education such as the community college.  Currently, I am working as tutor of mathematics at Valencia Community College.  I enjoy tutoring for a number of reasons.  In addition to gaining experience in teaching, as a tutor, I get to meet new students and help them secure their degrees. It is a very fulfilling job and a stepping for my future endeavors.

Angel

About Me:

Born in Humacao, PR, I moved to Florida in 2000. I attended Dr. Phillips HS and New Dimensions HS where I graduated as Valedictorian in 2006 (Go ‘06!). I am working on my A.S. in Engineering at VCC, so I can transfer to UCF for a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering. I’m also the Youth President at my Church. I have always been the kind of person who likes helping others. I love teaching other people and finding new ways to help them. I also like to listen to music, play sports, hang out, meet people, go shopping, eat out (I love it), and sometimes even studying. I always say that if you have a passion for something you should go for it. Life is all about having fun, doing the best you can and trying to be successful in everything that you do.

Jonathan

About Me:

My name is Jonathan, and I am a proud Floridian. I was born in New York but moved to Kissimmee at the age of two. As a child I had always wanted to either be a lawyer or a doctor. Thus my major when I first entered VCC in 2006 was Political Science, so I could jump into Pre-law. After getting my AA in Poli. Sci. I realized that it's not for me, so now I am majoring in Biology to eventually go into Pre-med. I have been a tutor for two and half years. Tutoring has brought me more and more satisfaction as time passes. The job has benefited me greatly by giving me patience and sharpening my own math skills. If you see me around VCC feel free to ask any questions about algebra or statistics.
