Answer Center

Valencia’s Answer Center is your place to go for questions about your educational plans, how to apply for admission or how to apply for financial aid.  Visit the Answer Center on any campus for help.

Bridges to Success

Mentoring, academic and financial support is provided for low income, first generation in college or minority students who are at-risk graduates of Orange or Osceola high schools.  Admission to Bridges to Success is selective.  For more information, click here.

Campus Tours

The Valencia Welcome Team gives campus tours each day at 10:00 am, 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Mondays through Thursdays.  Visit our website to schedule a tour: http://www.valenciacc.edu/visit

Career Pathways/ Tech Prep

High school students enroll in career programs and earn college credit by completing specified coursework and an assessment.  Articulations agreements allow students to achieve a seamless transition from high school to college and save time and money by earning college credit while in high school.

Direct Connect to UCF

Valencia has a partnership with UCF that will guarantee admission to UCF for any student who graduates with an AA degree from Valencia.  UCF staff are located on Valencia campuses to meet with students and encourage a smooth transition.

Dual Enrollment

An opportunity for high school students with a 3.0 grade point average or higher and college-level placement scores to take college-level courses and earn both high school and college credit, free of charge. 

Financial Aid Workshops

Valencia financial aid experts provide workshops for parents and students in Orange and Osceola counties throughout the months of January, February and March.

College Goal Sunday

Central Florida high school seniors and their parents can receive one on one help with completing their financial aid applications.  College Goal Sunday is held at several locations in Orange and Osceola counties.

College Night

The Central Florida community is invited to visit Valencia to meet with more than 130 other college representatives in a college fair forum during two evenings in October.

Counselor Day

High school counselors from Orange and Osceola counties are invited to visit Valencia in October to participate in a full day of professional development to support their work with students.

High School Visits

During the fall and spring of the academic year, Valencia Coordinators will visit with high school juniors and seniors to share enrollment information. Click here to view a list of Orange and Osceola county schools visited by Valencia each year.

Group Visits

Group Visits are designed for schools or organizations interested in bringing a group of eight or more people to learn more about Valencia Community College.  Topics may include: planning for college, how to enroll, financial aid, and will be followed by a campus tour experience.  If you are interested in requesting a group visit, Visit our website at:  http://www.valenciacc.edu/visit

Every fall, AVID high school seniors from Orange and Osceola County are invited to attend our on-site admissions program. Students enjoy a multimedia presentation on Valencia's steps to enrollment (with specific emphasis on residency, financial aid, UCF Direct Connect, Dual Enrollment, Student Clubs and Organizations.)

Education is In: College Survival & Success Scale (CSSS)

In the Spring,AVID high school juniors are invited to attend this interactive program designed to identify the skills and attitudes necessary to be prepared for college. With an emphasis on readiness, the program will also include information related to career and degree programs at Valencia. A student panel would conclude the program.

Cultural Diversity Fairs

High school students attending Orange and Osceola county ethnically diverse schools are transported to Valencia in order to meet with college and university representatives from across the nation.

Freshman Orientation

Special new student orientation workshops designed for previous year high school graduates and their parents are held in June each year.

Go Higher Get Accepted

This statewide campaign is offered by Valencia to Orange and Osceola county high school students who would like guidance in completing the community college admission application process.
