The new EBSCOhost interface has now been implemented in all of the library's EBSCOhost databases including Academic Search Complete, Biography Collection Complete, Business Source Complete, CINAHL Plus with Full Text, Education Research Complete, ERIC, Health Source: Consumer and Academic Editions, History Reference Center, Hospitality & Tourism Complete, Humanities International Complete, Literary Reference Center, Medline with Full Text, PsycArticles and others.

| Library Hosts Get Into Reading Guest Speaker - Judge Emerson R. Thompson, Jr. discussed connections between Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird and issues of race, gender and economic status in today's society with a room full of West Campus students on Thursday, March 13. The event was a perfect capstone to discussions of the classic novel held over the past several weeks as part of the Get Into Reading program. |

North Carolina Poet Laureate Fred Chappell! January 25, 2007 - Mr. Fred Chappell, author of 14 books of poetry, eight novels and two short story collections, gave a poetry reading at the library as part of Valencia's Visions and Voices Distinguished Artist Series. Mr. Chappell was named North Carolina Poet Laureate in 1997. |

September 14, 2006 - Ms. Julianna Baggott gave two readings at the West Campus Library as part of the Visions and Voices Distinguished Artist Series. Ms. Baggott is a poet and the author of several novels including Girl Talk, as well as children's books including The Anybodies trilogy. |
