Interlibrary Loans

Supports the instructional, research and scholarly activities of Valencia Community College faculty, staff and students by providing access to materials not held locally.

Submitting Requests

Requests may be made by visiting a librarian at the Information/Reference Counter or email eheintzelman@valenciacc.edu

Limitations

Some items cannot be requested via Interlibrary Loan. These items include: rare books, textbooks, some audiovisual materials, items owned by the East Campus library or designated items as determined by institutions.

Time Required

Items are generally received within one week. The requestor is notified via phone or mail when the material arrives. The material can be checked out at the Circulation/Reserves Counter.

Loan Period

Loan periods are determined by the lending institution.

Returning Materials

Items borrowed on Interlibrary Loan must be returned to Valencia Community College East Campus Circulation/Reserves Counter.

Overdue Materials

Interlibrary Loan materials are subject to the same fines as materials owned by Valencia.
