Vision, Values, and Mission Statements Feedback

The draft of Valencia Community College's new Vision, Values, and Mission statements was developed by the LCI Leadership Team from the work of participants in the Learning-Centered Initiative Roundtables, February to April, 2000. Your input will be useful in refining this document, so we invite your response to the following:

1. Do you feel that these statements accurately express the vision, values, and mission of the college? Is there anything missing? Are there important parts of our work that don't fit these statements?

2. Can you suggest changes that would make the statements clearer or more powerful for our student, faculty/staff and community audiences?

3. If the college community is to fully realize these statements, what would we need to do differently?

4. What do you see as some of the greatest challenges to this process?

5. What might be some of the most visible changes of this process?

6. What are some of the ways students and the community might notice that we are acting in accordance with these statements?
