Council on International Educational Exchange
(CIEE)
CIEE offers international faculty development seminars
which are intensive educational experiences designed
to explore fascinations, challenge preconceptions, and open eyes
to global issues shaping the world today. Each program features
lectures, site visits, and discussions with overseas academics and
colleagues. Participants return to campus poised to incorporate
an international dimension into administration, course design, and
teaching.
Choose from unique and challenging seminar themes
offered in an array of countries that span the globe. Travel the
Silk Road of China; examine the economic revolution of Irish society
in relation to the phenomenon of the Celtic Tiger; explore issues
of race, identity, and privilege in the Dominican Republic; or analyze
the relationship between tourism, development, and the environment
off the coast of Spain on the island of Mallorca.

Fulbright Teacher Exchanges and Summer
Seminars
The Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program provides opportunities for
qualified educators to participate in direct exchanges of positions
with colleagues from other countries for six weeks, a semester,
or a full academic year. The purpose of the program is to promote
mutual understanding between the people of the United States and
the peoples of other countries through educational exchange. In
exchanging positions with foreign teachers or administrators, program
participants have the opportunity to live and work in the cultures
of their host countries, an experience which has benefits for the
teachers, their schools, and their communities. http://www.fulbrightexchanges.org/View/ViewCountryIndex.asp
Community College for International Development
(CCID)
Troika Study Abroad Programs
The CCID consortium has developed a new programming model for short-term
faculty-led study abroad. The programming model is nicknamed "Troika"
because a minimum of three CCID colleges collaborate on each international
program. The primary objective of this model is to provide community
college students with greater access to study abroad opportunities.
