crocs in india

Interested in exploring southern India? Or working with indigenous Irula people? You can do this and more when you take this amazing trip to India with Professor Steve Myers. Some of your activities will include lassoing crocodiles at the Croc Bank, subduing them for vital measurements, and relocating them. You will observe the indigenous Irula people using their incredible skills to track down and collect venomous snakes in rice paddy fields. You will share the Irulas' diet of rats and termites (hmm, delicious!). Later, you will travel through southern India by train and bus to the remote Western Ghats where famed conservation biologist Rom Whitaker operates his Agumbe Rainforest preserve for King Cobras. By the end of the trip, you will be wearing the traditional lungi, if you are a male, and the female students will be sporting elaborate Mehendi henna tattoos on both hands. You will remember this incredible class forever.
