How do I apply for a Federal Stafford Student Loan?

You must first complete your FAFSA and establish your eligibility for all financial aid programs. (Refer to http://www.valenciacc.edu/finaid/gettingstarted/fin_deadlines.cfm)

Next, all eligible students can now complete online, steps 1, 2, and 3 of the 4 steps required to apply for a Stafford student loan. The fourth step, the VCC Student Loan Request form, must be printed, completed, and submitted in hard copy to Financial Aid Services (Answer Center) to finish the process. Students can satisfy all Federal and Institutional requirements by utilizing our new E-Flow process (see "Click Here!" button at bottom of page) to complete the following steps:

     Step 1:  Entrance Loan Counseling

     Step 2:  Select a Lender

     Step 3:  Master Promissory Note

You must have the following information at hand before you click the "Click Here" button below:

• A current, permanent address
• Driver's license number (if you have one)
• Two separate references, each with a different US address and phone number
• Access to a printer to make a hard copy of your VCC Student Loan Request Form
