Welcome!

The Central Florida Great Teachers Seminar, an outgrowth of the National Great Teachers Seminars, focuses on the art of teaching, and brings together a group of dedicated educators in search of the great teacher within themselves.

We invited 20 of Valencia’s outstanding Tenured Faculty (professors, counselors and librarians) to attend this inaugural seminar which was held on January 8-10, 2009. The two-and-a-half day seminar took place at The Inn at Cocoa Beach, in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Participants’ registration fees, transportation, and accommodations was paid in full, courtesy of Valencia Foundation's Maguire Family Teacher Endowed Chair.

The two-and-a-half day seminar was a success, thanks to all the participants and the facilitators!
