Don't miss "A Funny Thing Happened"
Stefani Koorey, Professor of Film Theater and Humanities, West
Campus, brings "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Wedding" to
life this week. The play, by the Roman comic playwright Plautus, is
the madcap story of a dirty old man who wants to have his slave
marry Casina, his ward, so he can, as tradition allows, have first
night rights with her. Meanwhile, the old man's wife wants her slave
to marry Casina so their son can have those rights. It is a classic
battle of the sexes and, as you suspect, the old man gets his just
deserts! Our show is April 15-17, and 22-24, at 8 p.m. Friday and
Saturday, 2 p.m. on Sunday, in Building 5-111, West Campus.
Admission is Free.

5K Run will benefit cancer diagnostic services
Plans are underway for the 3rd Annual Community 5K for a Cure to be
held Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Central Winds Park in Winter Springs.
Thank you to those of you that supported this event last year.
Together we were over 600 strong and raised $32,000!
The success of last year's event was greater than we anticipated.
We are proud to report 91% ($30,000) of the 2004 proceeds have been
donated to Ann-Lynn's Way, under the Breast & Cervical Cancer
Program housed at the Seminole County Health Department. To date,
Ann-Lynn's Way has provided over 225 diagnostic services to 154
women ranging from age 23 - 65 whom otherwise would have gone with
such service. We invite you to learn more about us and our
organization, committees and sponsorship opportunities by checking
out our website at: http://www.community5kforacure.com. For more
information, please contact Professor Tracy Harrison, West Campus,
ext. 1024, or call 407-810-5401.

Excellence Awards in the "Teaching" category. The Nursing Spectrum-Nurseweek
Excellence Awards is a national program of recognizing extraordinary
contributions nurses make to their patients, each other, and the
profession. Nursing Spectrum is an RN-led
communications company that celebrates nurses and the profession of
nursing. Their 12 regional print publications (NurseWeek and Nursing
Spectrum) reach more than one million nurses and nursing students

Sciences, West Campus, has been selected to participate in Harvard
University's Institute for Management and Leadership in Education (MLE),
June 18 - 30, 2005. MLE is designed for experienced administrators
responsible for thinking strategically about their institution's
academic change agenda: new curricula, new modes of delivery, new
alliances, and more diverse students. For two weeks, MLE
participants live, study, talk, and attend classes together. They
work with faculty and with each other-testing new ideas, and
developing new strategies to help institutions become more flexible
and responsive. The program helps participants assess the
effectiveness of their leadership and clarify how well their
institutions are positioned to meet future challenges.

Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences and will graduate

Department for providing a fire-safe atmosphere for both the patrons
and their employees.
Thank you.
This is to express my very sincere appreciation to my Valencia
family for the outpouring of loving support and kindness that you
have shown me at my father's passing. His struggle has ended on this
earth, and he is now at peace. Those of you who wish to join us as
we bid him farewell are welcome to do so on April 15 at 5 p.m. at
All Souls Cemetery in Sanford for a brief graveside service.
