Staff and Organizational Development Program

We are excited to announce that on June 28 we launched the new Manager/Supervisor Training Program. This is a seven seminar series program utilizing a cohort of 19 participants representing professional and career staff employees from all campuses.

The seminars use a strengths-based approach to management and include the following titles: Focusing Our Vision For Effective Supervision; Understanding Self & Others For Effective Supervision (DiSC); Bringing Out The Best In Others; Feedback; Coaching; Talent Management; Dealing With Conflict and Engaging In Crucial Conversations; Spotting Issues (Legal/HR); and Sustaining Energy For A Collaborative Work Environment Though Effective Supervision.

Amy Bosley and Brent Nakagama are the facilitators. As part of our collaborative process, we worked with senior staff, PSLT and Collegewide Career Council to identify participants for the pilot of this program. This initial pilot will run through January 10, 2008.
