Procurement News
What account (GL code) do I use? Account codes are used to expense goods and services that the college procures. It is very important to use the correct code for reporting purposes. A helpful detailed list with descriptions on the different account codes can now be found on the Procurement web-site: http://www.valenciacc.edu/procurement/facultystaff_FAQs.asp
How to scan to e-mail from the Panasonic Multi-Functional Device
Scan to a file on your Network - Use this button to scan to a file on your Network (*Requires a Help Desk job ticket)
Scan to E-mail - Use this button to scan for an E-mail delivery. E-mail addresses can be entered manually at the machine
Vendor information and Banner - The Procurement Office can receive anywhere from 10 to 30 Supplier Business Profiles a day. When requesting a vendor to fill out a Supplier Business Profile, please make sure that your name is in the "Valencia Employee Requesting Vendor Business Profile" line. This serves two purposes: 1) if we have a question regarding the vendor we know who to contact; 2) we know that an order is pending and the supplier should be entered immediately. Because we do not want to fill our database with unnecessary data, we may hold the forms until the requesting department calls. To alleviate this issue, please have your name appear on the form.
If searching for a Vendor in Banner, type in the name as it appears on the W-9 form and not by DBA’s (Doing Business As). You can also search by Federal Identification Number (FEIN or Tax ID) or Social Security if known. The best thing to do is to keep a list of your vendors with their V numbers for easy access.
If there is a change in the company’s name or identification number (FIN or SSN) a new W-9 form will be required.
