CPT - Common Placement Test

  • The Accuplacer CPT is used for placement at all Florida community colleges for most degree programs.
  • The test will assess your content knowledge in reading, sentence skills, and mathematics. Click here for free study guides.
  • Tests are administered on a walk-in basis at testing center locations. See hours and locations page for details.
  • As of July 1, 2009, there will be a $10 retake fee per subsection of the CPT.
  • There are two (2) ways to be exempt from the CPT:
    • Take the SAT-1, or the the Enhanced ACT (within the last two years), and receive scores at or above those listed in the table below.
    • Have college-level coursework in English or mathematics with a "C" or better from a regionally-accredited institution.
